November Already

The first week of law school, all you hear from everyone is how fast the year will fly by.  It is pretty hard to take them seriously when each minute in class seems like an hour.  But, now that we have a little over a month left, I understand what everyone was talking about.  Exams are in a month, we already have our schedule for next semester, and the weather is getting colder.  Some days I question my decision for choosing law school, and other days I marvel at how much my thinking skills have evolved since August.  This semester has been filled with ups and downs, at school and personally.  Law school is difficult to begin with, but when there are other problems happening in your life on top of that, it becomes almost impossible.  However, I have had a lot of help from my fellow classmates.  Despite all the talk about everyone being ultra competitive and not trusting others, I have found that when I need help from my classmates I am given it-and I really appreciate them for that.  I know things will get better, and I have to learn the lesson that I’m sure many other professionals have had to learn-separate your personal life and your work life to succeed.
