My first month at VLS has been incredible! Moving here from Kentucky with my wife, Sarah, and dog, Frankie, was life-altering for us all. However, just last week my wife (who first said she’d NEVER move to Vermont) now wants us to stay permanently!

From the native Vermonters, to the warm faculty, to the incredible student body, VLS has quickly helped us feel at ease and confident in our decision to come. Sarah was also able to find a job quickly in her field, social work, and finds that her colleagues there are equally friendly and welcoming.

Now don’t get me wrong, legal studies is quite an adjustment, and I am quickly discovering that no amount of prior education or experience can simulate how one learns the law. I am finding that reviewing the material covered each weekend helps keep everything together, as does talking through what is learned with fellow classmates.

I will do my best through this blog to keep prospective students informed of my peaks and valleys this semester, and look forward to hearing from anyone wanting to know more about the school, or is simply seeking an inside look at the school.
